Wentworth College, one of the oldest two year colleges west of the Mississippi, was organized in 1923 as an outgrowth of Wentworth Military Academy, which was established in 1880. Wentworth College offers high school graduates the same courses in liberal arts and science that are available in the leading universities and colleges throughout the United States. On our main campus in Lexington, Missouri, Wentworth College is a private, co-educational boarding and non-boarding two- year college. A small group of students are additionally enrolled in a highly regarded United States Army ROTC Cadet Command program at Wentworth.
Small class sizes and personal interaction with faculty means our students achieve success in academics. We are fully accredited and our courses are transferable to any college or university in the United States. Statistics show that students who transfer to colleges and universities from junior and community colleges enjoy higher graduation rates than students who begin there as freshman, particularly at large schools.
