International Club

We believe that diversity is very important and we are very proud of our international students. They leave their countries, families and friends - in many cases thousands of miles away - to attend our school with the objectives of not only getting an education but also to better understand the culture of the country. They want to be part of the global community and share their culture as well.

The international club gives all the international students on campus the opportunity to share their culture and traditions. It reinforces their sense of belonging. We officially get together once every 2 weeks. The meetings give them a chance to bond among themselves and to discuss possible ideas of how to better promote their country and culture. They all have an identity there and the interaction is fascinating.

The international club also helps new cadets arriving late on campus to adjust better - helping them in their own language - to understand the policy of the school and to integrate them to the corps of cadets.

As members of the international club, they participate in many off campus activities. They have their academic needs as foreigners students fullfilled. The international club provides help with the language and support the international students on their endeavours.

The international students who are members of the club feel more integrated with the school and understand they play a huge role on global awareness and enrich the campus life.

The team uses Daisy Sporter rifles provided by the Civilian Marksmanship Program.

The National Rifle Association generously provided Wentworth Military Academy a grant to purchase new compressed air rifles and accessories. These items are instrumental in the improvement of the individual scores and upgrade of our range facilities. The Rifle team, JROTC and Wentworth Military Academy are very grateful to the National Rifle Association for their contribution to the success of the youth here at Wentworth.
